EVENT ITINERARY January 2012
- January 21: Official registration and a poolside reception for competitors and guests at The Best Western Irazu in San Jose.
- January 22: We will transport you to the Race Start about 3.25 hours away.
- January 22 - January 27: We will be on course
- January 27: Race ends at Bahia Salina. We spend the day there and awards ceremony and closing party will be take place here in Drakes Bay, just miles from the Border of Nicaragua. We will have one more night of revelry and beach combing before departing for San Jose the next morning.
- January 28: We will transport you back to The Best Western in San Jose. It's about a 5 hour drive and will leave in the late morning.

Costa Rica is a tropical country which contains several distinct climatic zones. There is no winter or summer as such and most regions have a rainy season from May to November and a dry season from December to April. Annual rainfall averages 100 inches nationwide with some mountainous regions getting as much as 25 feet on exposed eastern slopes. Temperature is more a matter of elevation than location with a mean of around 72 degrees in the Central Valley, 82 degrees on the Atlantic coast and 89 degrees on the Pacific coast.
